Los Angeles Galaxy
WELCOME TO THE HOME OF THE LA GALAXY
LA Galaxy are one of the inaugural ten teams to kick Major League Soccer off back in 1996. One of the most dominant teams in the west over that time, the Galaxy have won the MLS Supporters Shield, given to the team with the best regular season record, 4 times. The Galaxy have also won the MLS Cup 5 times and the US Open Cup twice. With magnetic global soccer stars ranging from Zlatan to Beckham, the Galaxy have been successful in the league for a long time, and aren’t going anywhere.
LA GALAXY SUPPORTER GROUPS
Heavily influenced by LA’s Latinx culture, the Angel City Brigade was founded in 2007 and call themselves the beating heart of the Galaxy supporters groups. Located in section 121 and 122 of the park. If you’re looking to sing along for 90 minutes, Angel City Brigade is your group.
Formed in 2001, former Galaxy keeper Kevin Hartman challenged a fan to gather 100 other supporters to stand and cheer for the entire game, and if they did, he’d get them a keg. On opening day of the 2002 season, Hartman owed those fans the first of many kegs, and they’ve been cheering on ever since.
These guys are the original supporters, going back to ‘96. Dressed in Green and Gold, the Galaxians encompass the true spirit and history of the Galaxy. You can find them in Lot 10 before the match starts. No directions needed, just follow the sound of the drums.
What to do on Game Day
Tailgating runs the is the way to before matchday in LA. Supporters from both teams organize outside of their respective stadiums, where you can hang with the supporters groups or join the fan fests that both teams hold throughout the season. Either way, you’re in for some fun.
Tailgating outside of Dignity Sports Health Park has improved thanks to plenty of upgrades done to the grounds outside of the stadium. Join supporters groups as they participate in chants, small sided games, and all around fun before Galaxy kicks off.
